The invention discloses a gradient array micro-nano structure with a water collection function, application and a preparation method, and relates to the technical field of nano material preparation, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing a culture dish, and dividing the culture dish into at least two areas by using a spacer; preparing a PS microsphere template in each area, wherein the diameters of PS microspheres in each area are different; removing the spacer, preparing liquid silica gel, and covering the PS microsphere template with the liquid silica gel; the method comprises the following steps: sequentially carrying out curing, film taking and ball removing operations to obtain a silica gel film with a conical gradient array, and on the basis of hydrophobic difference caused by the conical gradient array, enabling liquid drops on the surface of the silica gel film to spontaneously drive towards a gradient positive direction which is a direction in which the diameters of the arrays are arranged from small to large. The structure completely depends on the surface hydrophobicity difference caused by the conical gradient array, so that spontaneous driving of water drops is caused, and the water collecting surface has the advantages of durability and safety.
