The invention provides a modified asphalt coating material, a preparation method and a waterproof coiled material. Wherein the modified asphalt coating material comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight: 100 parts of asphalt; 15 to 30 parts of a compatilizer; 8 to 15 parts of SBS elastomer; 35 to 50 parts of rubber powder; 50 to 80 parts of filler; and 6-12 parts of modified kaolin, wherein the modified kaolin is cooperatively modified by a sulfydryl silane coupling agent and an acyloxy titanate coupling agent. According to the invention, the sulfydryl silane coupling agent and the acyloxy titanate coupling agent are used for synergistically modifying the kaolin, so that the kaolin is changed from hydrophilicity to lipophilicity, and the dispersity of the kaolin in the asphalt is effectively improved; the modified kaolin can react with the SBS and the rubber powder, and the modified kaolin is used as a crosslinking point among the SBS, the rubber powder and the asphalt, so that chemical bonding of polymer-kaolin-asphalt is realized, the performance advantages of the components can be fully exerted, and the physical performance and the anti-aging performance of the polymer modified asphalt coating material are remarkably improved.
