The invention relates to ceramic fiber-based gridding cloth for an outer wall and a preparation method of the ceramic fiber-based gridding cloth. The gridding cloth is prepared by compounding Al2O3 sol, SiO2 sol and TiO2 sol, preparing gel fibers through a spinning system, and sintering the gel fibers to obtain composite ceramic fibers; blending the composite ceramic fibers with ramie fibers to obtain blended yarns; and finally, preparing the ceramic fiber gridding cloth from the blended yarns. The gridding cloth prepared by the invention contains ramie fibers which can enhance the friction force among the fibers, so that the tensile strength of the gridding cloth in the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction is obviously enhanced. The gridding cloth prepared by the invention is wide in raw material source and mature in preparation process, and has very good market application and popularization values.
