The invention discloses a self-growing nanowire reinforced silicon carbide aerogel material and a preparation method thereof.The preparation method comprises the steps that ethyl alcohol, terephthalaldehyde, siloxane, amino siloxane, deionized water and acid are evenly mixed and fully react to obtain sol; heating the sol to obtain gel A; carrying out multiple times of organic solvent replacement on the gel A, and then drying to obtain aerogel A; soaking the aerogel A in the sol prepared in the first step to obtain a mixture; heating the mixture to obtain gel B; replacing the gel B with an organic solvent, and drying to obtain aerogel B; and repeatedly dipping, heating, replacing and drying, and finally carrying out high-temperature heat treatment on the aerogel to obtain the self-growing nanowire enhanced silicon carbide aerogel.
