The invention discloses a fish passing channel capable of improving efficiency and a migration method. The fish passing channel comprises a plurality of fish passing partition plate assemblies arranged at intervals from a river channel downstream inlet to a river channel upstream outlet. From the downstream of the river channel to the upstream of the river channel, every two adjacent fish passing partition plate assemblies are divided into a first pond chamber, a second pond chamber,..., and an n pond chamber; the fish passing partition plate assembly comprises a first partition plate assembly and a second partition plate assembly, the first partition plate assembly is provided with a first fish passing hole, the second partition plate assembly is provided with a second fish passing hole, and the bottom of the first partition plate assembly is fixed to the bottom of the river channel; the second partition plate assembly is arranged on the side, close to the upstream, of the first partition plate assembly in a liftable mode, and the second fish passing hole is formed in the mode that when the second partition plate assembly descends to a set position, the first fish passing hole coincides with the second fish passing hole. Water flow falling enlargement is achieved, water sound, water spray and turbulent fluctuation are formed to attract fishes, and the success rate and efficiency of finding a fishway inlet by the fishes are improved.
