The invention discloses a total cross-section compression anchor rod which comprises a rod body and an anchor bar, the anchor bar is provided with a penetrating section located in the rod body, the penetrating section is provided with an isolation part and a non-isolation part, the isolation part is isolated from the rod body through an isolation body, and the non-isolation part is located in the rod body. The non-isolation part is provided with a pressure-bearing piece used for transmitting the tension of the anchor bar to the rod body. The tensile force of the anchor bar is transmitted to the rod body through the pressure-bearing piece at the non-isolation part, and the isolation part is isolated from the rod body through the isolation body, so that free stretching and retracting of the anchor bar are not affected in the stress process. When the anchor rod is used, the total cross section is pressed, the tension working condition does not exist, therefore, tension cracks cannot be generated on the rod body, and the anchor rod is simple in structure, convenient to construct, capable of saving materials and more economical.
