The invention relates to a floating wood collecting method, which belongs to the field of hydraulics, and comprises the following steps: S1, uniformly mixing pebbles, coarse sand and clay according to a mass ratio, and loading the mixture into nylon bags, each nylon bag being a spur dike monomer; s2, according to the design parameters, spur dike structures are arranged in the tributaries, one ends of the spur dike structures are located in the river channels of the tributaries and are not connected with the river banks, the other ends of the spur dike structures are connected with the river banks, away from the downstream, of the tributaries, and the downstream refers to the river channel where the main stream and the tributaries intersect; the design parameters comprise the ratio of the spur dike structure length l to the tributary river channel width D; the included angle between the spur dike structure and the tributary river bank is theta; the distance between the connecting point of the spur dike structure and the river bank and the intersection is determined; height of spur dike structures; and S3, a blocking net is arranged in the river separation area where the main flow and the branch flow intersect, and the floating wood drained through the spur dike structure is collected in the separation area. According to the method, the spur dike structure is utilized to introduce the floating woods into the separation area, and fishing personnel can conveniently fish and collect the floating woods in the separation area.
