The invention discloses an intelligent vibration isolator and a damping and rigidity adjusting method thereof. The intelligent vibration isolator comprises a top plate, a bottom plate, a damping adjusting mechanism, a plurality of rigidity adjusting mechanisms, an acceleration sensor, a signal processor and a central processing unit. The other end of the damping adjusting mechanism is connected with the bottom plate; the multiple rigidity adjusting mechanisms are located between the top plate and the bottom plate. The acceleration sensor detects vibration information during external disturbance in real time, and the signal processor carries out frequency domain analysis and vibration level evaluation on the vibration information. When adjustment is needed, the central processing unit adjusts the damping adjusting mechanism and the rigidity adjusting mechanism according to the pre-stored optimal damping adjusting position, the pre-stored optimal rigidity adjusting position, the pre-stored frequency domain analysis result and the pre-stored vibration level evaluation result. While damping and rigidity can be achieved, automatic adjustment is achieved, the effective vibration isolation frequency of the vibration isolator is changed, and the vibration isolation frequency band is widened.
