The invention provides a swivel system and an installation method, and relates to the technical field of bridge swivel construction.The swivel system comprises a driving part, a spherical hinge, a supporting foot, a slideway beam, an arc-shaped upper rotating disc and an annular lower rotating disc, the supporting foot is arranged on the arc-shaped upper rotating disc and faces the annular lower rotating disc, and a preset interval is formed between the supporting foot and the annular lower rotating disc; the rotating axis of the spherical hinge coincides with the central axis of the annular lower rotating disc, the two arc-shaped upper rotating discs are symmetrically arranged relative to the rotating axis of the spherical hinge, and the driving piece is used for driving the arc-shaped upper rotating discs to rotate around the rotating axis of the spherical hinge. By means of the two arc-shaped upper rotating discs of the rotating system, in the stable rotating process of the bridge, the supporting feet do not make contact with the annular lower rotating discs, when the bridge inclines, the supporting feet make contact with the annular lower rotating discs, the bridge is prevented from rolling over, and better stability is achieved; in addition, compared with other upper rotating disc structural designs, the arc-shaped upper rotating disc saves more materials, and the manufacturing cost is reduced.
