The invention relates to a shock insulation support lightning protection grounding device and an installation method thereof.The grounding device comprises a grounding box, steel plates, connecting pieces and wires, the grounding box is used for being pre-arranged in a buttress, the steel plates are arranged in the buttress, one end of each steel plate is connected with a lightning conductor in the buttress, and the other end of each steel plate extends into the grounding box; the side, away from the buttresses, of the grounding box is detachably connected with a box cover, the end of the wire penetrates through the box cover and is connected with one end of the steel plate located in the grounding box through a connecting piece, one end of the wire is connected with the steel plate located in the upper buttress, the other end of the wire is connected with the steel plate located in the lower buttress, and the middle of the wire is wound to form a buffering section. The mounting method comprises the following steps: firstly, pre-burying the steel plate and the grounding box in the buttress; the end part of the wire penetrates through the box cover and then is fixed at the end part of the steel plate through a connecting piece; and the grounding connection between the upper buttress and the lower buttress is completed, so that the installation of the grounding device can be completed. The shock insulation support has the effect that the grounding service life of the shock insulation support is prolonged.
