The invention discloses a method and a device for detecting abnormity of a motor lock body of an intelligent lock. The method comprises the following steps: recording a first action duration of the lock body from motor starting to locked-rotor; if the second action duration of the lock body from motor starting to locked-rotor in a historical record reaches the first set number, the average duration and the shortest duration of the lock body are determined; if the first action duration is less than the set normal action duration, additionally supplying power to the motor for a set power supply duration; acquiring a sampling current value acquired from the motor current at a set frequency, wherein the acquisition time is from the starting of the motor to the end of the power supply duration; determining a slope between two adjacent sampling current values relative to the sampling time; if the second set number of continuous slopes are larger than the preset slope, the maximum output current of the motor is limited within the range of the set limiting current, whether the lock body is abnormal or not can be accurately detected according to the action duration of the lock body and the current change slope, and therefore the situation that the motor is damaged due to too large current is avoided; the method can be widely applied to the field of intelligent door locks.
