The invention relates to a composite rapid public transportation system capable of responding to demands, and the system comprises rapid public transportation vehicles which are divided into conventional rapid public transportation vehicles and flexible rapid public transportation vehicles according to the travel demands of passengers; the conventional rapid bus adopts an operation mode of fixed-line fixed-shift and station-station stop; the flexible rapid bus adopts a multi-line and cross-station operation mode according to the real-time travel demand of a user; the special traffic lane is a lane which is divided from lanes of existing roads of a city and is specially used for driving of rapid buses, and the special traffic lane intersects with the common roads and follows traffic lights; the bus stop is arranged at the stop position of the special traffic lane and is used for stopping the rapid buses and allowing passengers to get on and off the buses; and the bus rapid transit system network is characterized in that a plurality of bus stops are connected through special lanes to form lines, and a plurality of lines are mutually combined to form the bus rapid transit system network. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages of being more flexible, saving the travel time of passengers, improving the utilization efficiency of the bus rapid transit network and the like.
