The invention discloses a child safety mechanism for an automobile door lock, which comprises a shell, and the shell comprises a connecting plate which is rotatably connected to the shell through a first rotating shaft; one end of the pull rod is movably connected to the connecting plate, and the other end of the pull rod abuts against a release rod; when the pull rod abuts against the release rod, the release rod can be driven by the pull rod to rotate so as to unlock the automobile door. When the pull rod is separated from the release rod, the release rod cannot rotate, so that locking of the child safety mechanism is completed; the child safety device further comprises a driving mechanism, the driving mechanism can drive the pull rod to rotate relative to the connecting plate, the pull rod is separated from the release rod, and therefore locking of the child safety device is completed, personnel cannot unlock a door lock from the interior to open a vehicle door, and the riding safety of a child in the back row is guaranteed.
