The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, preparing materials; S2, grinding the materials; and S3, firing. The prepared silicon oxynitride-silicon carbide composite brick has the advantages of being low in cost, excellent in thermal stripping resistance and oxidation resistance and the like, silicon carbide is combined and protected by covering the surface of silicon carbide with a SiO2 film, silicon oxynitride generated through reaction is distributed around silicon carbide particles, and the oxidation resistance of the composite brick is improved.
