The invention provides an anti-buckling shear steel plate damper which comprises a web plate body extending in the first direction and a shear steel plate. The web plate body is provided with two web plate surfaces which correspond to each other; the clamping piece extends in the second direction, and the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction; a clamping space allowing the web plate body to enter is formed in the clamping piece; when the web plate body enters the clamping space in the first direction, the inner wall of the clamping piece can make close contact with the web plate face. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, on one hand, the inner wall of the clamping piece is in close contact with the web plate surface, so that the inner wall of the clamping piece can provide sufficient external force support for the web plate surface; on the other hand, due to the fact that the inner wall of the clamping piece is only in contact with the face of the web plate, the ductility and bearable energy consumption value of the web plate can be improved, and better anti-fatigue performance can be achieved when reciprocating shear force is borne.
