The invention relates to the technical field of greening ecological structures, and discloses an expressway rock slope greening ecological structure which comprises a slope body, a metal net layer, a planting layer, a frame set, a first planting area, a fixing frame, a second planting area, a drainage channel, a first groove, a second groove, a drainage channel, a filter screen, a third planting area and drain holes. Rainwater flowing down from the side slope can be collected through the drainage grooves and used for plant irrigation; the slope greening is divided into three planting areas, different plants can be planted respectively, and the slope greening is more attractive; and falling rocks on a mountain can be prevented from rolling onto the expressway, the scouring force of rainwater can be reduced, and serious water and soil loss of the side slope in rainstorm weather is avoided.
