The movable arm potential energy recovery system comprises a main oil way module, a transmission module, an energy supply module, a three-cavity hydraulic cylinder energy recovery module, a flow regeneration energy recovery module and a temperature control module. The descending potential energy of the movable arm is recovered through the three-cavity hydraulic cylinder energy recovery module and the flow regeneration energy recovery module, the flow regeneration energy recovery module comprises a mechanical transmission structure, the auxiliary hydraulic pump is driven by rodless cavity oil pressure to store energy, reverse utilization can be achieved, and the energy recovery rate is high. And the temperature control module can monitor the temperature of hydraulic oil in each energy recovery loop in real time and adjust the temperature, so that the system is prevented from being influenced by too high oil temperature. The problems that a hydraulic excavator is low in energy utilization rate and large in power consumption are solved, and the temperature control problem which is not considered in other energy recovery systems is considered.
