The invention discloses an underwater dredging device for a municipal sewage pipeline and a dredging method thereof, and relates to the technical field of pipeline dredging, the underwater dredging device for the municipal sewage pipeline comprises a device main body, and the inner side wall of the device main body is rotatably connected with a driving threaded rod and an extension dredging mechanism; the extension dredging mechanism is arranged in the device body and connected to the driving threaded rod in a sleeving mode, the driving threaded rod is rotated, the extension dredging mechanism can be lengthened to dredge a pipeline, and by arranging an inner wall scraper, when pipeline dredging needs to be conducted, an operator can align the whole device to the pipeline, then the driving threaded rod is rotated, and under driving of the driving threaded rod, the pipeline can be dredged through the extension dredging mechanism. The front end part of the whole device can enter the pipeline, and the inner wall scraping plate capable of being overturned and stored can adapt to contraction and opening of pipelines with different hole diameters, so that when the whole device cleans the pipelines with the different hole diameters, the components do not need to be replaced frequently, and the whole cleaning process is more convenient.
