The invention discloses an automatic start-stop control system for a snow removal device of a large-span light steel structure roof, which is characterized in that a stress detection device is arranged on a key component of the large-span light steel structure roof, when the stress is detected to exceed a limit value, whether the position of the roof has accumulated snow load is judged, and when two conditions are met at the same time, the snow removal device at the corresponding position is started; and the real-time stress is judged until the stress level recovers to a specified value, and the snow removal device is shut down. Compared with a traditional snow removing device, the design method has the advantages that the strain values of key components in a certain proportion and space distribution serve as triggering conditions, the stress level of the components is actually controlled within a reasonable range, the stress condition of the structure can be reflected more accurately, and structural safety is guaranteed.
