The damming method adopting the cemented tailings comprises the steps that S1, a gelling agent is added into the tailings to form the cemented tailings; s2, a plurality of first-stage sub-dams are built in the stockpiling yard, and a first-stage discharging area is defined by the multiple first-stage sub-dams; s3, the first-stage discharge area is filled with cemented tailings to form a first-stage stockpiling body; s4, a plurality of second-stage sub-dams are stacked on the first-stage stockpiling body, and a second-stage discharging area is defined by the multiple second-stage sub-dams; s5, the second-stage discharging area is filled with cemented tailings, so that a second-stage stockpiling body is formed; s4, S4 and S5 are repeated until the height of the N-stage sub-dam reaches the target stockpiling height of the initial dam, and the N-stage discharge area is filled with cemented tailings to form the initial dam. According to the damming method adopting the cemented tailings, the problem of stock yard planning in engineering can be solved, a large-scale damming stock yard does not need to be found on the periphery of a dam body, the storage capacity of a tailing pond can be greatly consumed, and the applicability is high.
