The binder comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 40-60 parts of phosphoric acid, 30-40 parts of water, 8-12 parts of metal hydroxide powder and 0-2 parts of oxalic acid. Compared with the prior art, the binder is prepared from the phosphoric acid, the metal oxide and the oxalic acid as main raw materials, phenolic resin, paper pulp waste liquid, organic powder and other binders are not used, no gas is generated in the heating process of refractory brick preparation, no harmful gas is generated to the environment, and environmental pollution in the refractory brick preparation process is reduced; the waste gas emission of cement enterprises is reduced. Moreover, the compressive strength of a green brick prepared from the binder is higher than that of a conventional green brick, so that the binder is good in cohesiveness.
