The invention belongs to the technical field of functional ceramics, and discloses a preparation method of pure-phase bismuth ferrite ceramics. The preparation method comprises the following steps: dissolving bismuth nitrate pentahydrate, iron nitrate nonahydrate and citric acid in a mixed solvent of absolute methanol and ethylene glycol; then putting the mixed solvent on a constant-temperature magnetic stirrer, heating and stirring to form wet gel, and putting the wet gel into a drying box for drying; and finally, drying, calcining, tabletting and sintering the wet gel. The sol-gel method is adopted, it is guaranteed that all the components are evenly mixed, the temperature interval of pure-phase BiFeO3 ceramic synthesis is defined, the prepared ceramic target material is high in density and free of impurity phase generation, and the method is simple in required equipment and preparation process, low in cost and good in repeatability.
