The problems that an existing bridge support with a horizontal buffering function is complex and loose in structure and poor in stability are effectively solved. According to the technical scheme, the damping device comprises a first damping unit and a second damping unit, and the first damping unit vertically buffers; the second damping unit comprises a vertical cylinder, an annular groove is formed in the inner wall of the cylinder, a sphere-like body embedded in the annular groove is arranged in the cylinder, the sphere-like body and the annular groove form a spherical hinge structure, a buffer layer located below the sphere-like body is arranged in the cylinder, the upper surface of a second elastic buffer layer abuts against the flat bottom of the sphere-like body, and the lower surface of the second elastic buffer layer abuts against the flat bottom of the sphere-like body. A vertical rod is connected to the top of the sphere-like body, and the upper end of the vertical rod horizontally moves along with the bridge body so as to stir the sphere-like body to rotate to extrude the buffer layer for buffering; buffering of displacement in any direction in the horizontal plane can be achieved, the whole support and the internal structure of the support have better stability, and stable supporting and buffering of the support on a bridge under normal vertical load and impact are not affected.
