The invention belongs to the related technical field of building construction, and discloses a large-gradient cliff body rockfall reinforcement and protection treatment method which comprises the following steps that firstly, scaffolds are erected for a plurality of follow-up to-be-constructed areas correspondingly, and the scaffolds serve as danger clearing operation platforms or different construction platforms correspondingly; step 2, crushing and cleaning pumice stones, topsoil and dangerous rock masses, and transferring the pumice stones, topsoil and dangerous rock masses to a material stacking platform for outward transportation; thirdly, aiming at the construction area of the dangerous rock slope, a plurality of pre-stressed anchor cables are installed, and a plurality of anchoring sections are formed; fourthly, an active flexible protective net is fixedly installed from top to bottom in the construction area adjacent to the line cliff; and 5, multiple rows of passive flexible protective nets are sequentially arranged in the direction perpendicular to the slope surface along the contour line according to the construction area above the mountain foot pier. The safety protection device can comprehensively solve the safety protection problem of surrounding rock falling rocks in the bridge construction process, and meanwhile has the advantages of being convenient to control, high in reliability and construction efficiency, high in environmental adaptability and the like.
