The invention relates to the technical field of pipeline cleaning equipment, in particular to municipal engineering road drainage pipeline cleaning equipment and a method thereof.The municipal engineering road drainage pipeline cleaning equipment comprises a propelling mechanism, a rotating mechanism, a cleaning mechanism, a piercing mechanism and an expansion mechanism; by means of arranged fan blades, when high-pressure water flows in a water inlet groove, the fan blades can be driven to rotate so as to drive a drill bit to rotate, the drill bit can drive spikes to rotate to pierce and shred blockages, and the first rotating shaft drives claws to rotate to scrape the blockages attached to the periphery of equipment backwards; when the device encounters a blockage part which is difficult to pass through, the fixing block can relatively move towards the body, high-pressure gas in the gas storage tank can push the pricking needle and the air bag to pass through the blockage, meanwhile, the high-pressure gas can enter the air bag to expand and enlarge the air bag, and at the moment, the expanded air bag can be driven to push the blockage backwards by pulling the water inlet pipe backwards; and therefore, blockages in the pipeline can be cleaned.
