The assembly type connecting piece comprises a fixing plate and two fixing pieces arranged on the fixing plate in a spaced mode, the two fixing pieces are connected through a limiting piece, and the limiting piece is provided with an assembly piece used for being connected with a steel beam; the limiting piece is provided with an assembly hole used for assembling the assembly piece, the assembly piece is in clearance fit with the assembly hole, one end, penetrating through the assembly hole, of the assembly piece is provided with a connecting part used for being connected with a steel beam, the other end of the assembly piece is provided with a limiting part, and the outer diameter of the limiting part is larger than the hole diameter of the assembly hole. A containing cavity used for containing the limiting part is defined by the limiting piece and the fixing plate, and a damping mechanism capable of being matched with the limiting part is arranged in the containing cavity. The fabricated connecting piece for the steel structure building has the advantages of being good in applicability, easy to assemble and convenient to maintain and use.
