The invention discloses an ecological water environment treatment system for a sandy riverbed of a mountainous river channel. The ecological water environment treatment system comprises an ecological green island arranged in a river center region of the river channel, an ecological buffer zone arranged close to a river bank, an ecological protection slope arranged close to a main river channel and an ecological interception ditch arranged in the water flowing direction. Dwarf willow herbs, iris wilsonii, pennisetum alopecuroides and juniperus procumbens are sequentially planted in the green land of the ecological buffer zone from the waterside to the beach land. Two retention and deposition zones are arranged in the middle of the dwarf lythrum salicaria, and a pelelith retention and deposition zone and a zeolite retention and deposition zone are sequentially arranged from the water facing side. The water environment treatment system can effectively resist river channel scouring and water and soil loss caused by a large longitudinal slope; water resources can be planned as a whole, water quality is improved, and non-point source pollution is reduced; the arrangement of the water environment treatment system is an effective measure for reducing nitrogen and phosphorus loads, and the rural human settlement environment can be improved.
