The invention discloses a construction method for temporary steel pipe piles in a shallow water area, which comprises the following steps of: hoisting a plurality of buoyancy tanks to the water surface to form independent boat bodies; the boat bodies are assembled into an integral structure to form a main body platform, and a power system is installed on the main body platform; the crawler pile driver is moved to the main body platform so as to form the overwater mobile working platform; the power system is used for moving the overwater movable working platform to a preset pile position, and the crawler pile driver is used for piling the preset pile position, so that a pile hole is formed in the riverbed ground of the shallow water area; constructing a steel pipe in the pile hole to form the temporary steel pipe pile; and the temporary steel pipe piles are treated to recover the river channel corresponding to the shallow water area. The overwater movable working platform is used for conducting piling operation, the construction period is shortened, movement is convenient, pile position positioning is faster, and compared with traditional overwater pile foundation construction, the procedures of cofferdam water pumping and the like are reduced.
