The invention relates to the technical field of building construction engineering, and particularly discloses a lantern-shaped ridge frame and a construction method thereof.The ridge frame comprises concrete bases, pre-embedded steel ribs are arranged in the concrete bases, support steel plates are arranged at the tops of the pre-embedded steel ribs, ridge main beams are arranged between the concrete bases, and the ridge main beams are connected with the support steel plates; the two ends of the ridge main beam are fixed to the support steel plates of the corresponding concrete bases respectively. The ridge main beam comprises a main beam section I, a main beam section II and a main beam section III, and the main beam section I and the main beam section III are fixed to the two sides of the main beam section II respectively and are symmetrically arranged relative to the main beam section II to form an inverted-L-shaped structure. The method is completed by welding the multiple sections, a stable lantern-shaped structure can be formed, all the sections can be conducted on the ground or in a factory, the construction speed is high, the cost is low, in the construction process, the supporting frames at the butt joint ends of the main beam sections can provide better support for the ends of the main beam sections which are in butt joint with one another, and connection between the main beam sections is more convenient.
