The invention discloses a siphon drainage system and method for slope drainage and automatic green plant irrigation, the siphon drainage system comprises a siphon, a drainage pipe and an irrigation pipe, the siphon comprises a first pipe section extending into an inclined drill hole of a slope, a second pipe section extending into a reservoir and a third pipe section connecting the first pipe section and the second pipe section; the drainage pipe is communicated with the reservoir and the road blind ditch, a first control valve for controlling on-off is arranged on the drainage pipe, the irrigation pipe faces the side slope, the lower end of the irrigation pipe extends into the reservoir, a second control valve for controlling on-off is arranged on the irrigation pipe, and a lower-end pipe opening is located above the drainage pipe; the vertical height of the first pipe section is set to be smaller than the height of a water column corresponding to the local atmospheric pressure, and the vertical height of the irrigation pipe is set to be smaller than the height of the water column corresponding to the local atmospheric pressure, so that stored water in the reservoir can be sucked into the irrigation pipe through the water level difference, and green plants on the slope surface of the slope are automatically irrigated.
