The invention belongs to the field of building materials, and particularly relates to an admixture for tubular pile concrete and application of the admixture. The invention discloses an admixture for tubular pile concrete. The admixture comprises shale slag, siliceous machine-made sand, fluorite, molasses, glass fibers and sodium lignin sulfonate. Wherein the SiO2 content of the shale slag is greater than or equal to 93wt%; the ignition loss is less than or equal to 1wt%; the volcanic ash activity index of the shale slag is greater than or equal to 68%. The shale slag ore and siliceous machine-made sand double-doped raw materials are ground to prepare the concrete admixture for the PHC pipe pile, the concrete admixture is used for preparing the PHC pipe pile, and the requirements for the performance such as the strength of the PHC pipe pile concrete can be met; and traditional grinding fine sand is replaced, the production cost of the PHC pipe pile is saved, and resource utilization of the shale slag ore and the siliceous machine-made sand is achieved.
