The invention provides a safety protection device for a horizontal hole. The safety protection device comprises a hole covering part and a fixing part. The hole covering part is used for covering the surface of a horizontal hole, after the fixing part penetrates through a first through hole formed in the middle of the hole covering part, the fixing arms abut against the bottom faces of floor slabs on the two sides of the horizontal hole, and the fixing part is fixed to the hole covering part based on cooperation of the threaded vertical rods and the nuts. The safety protection device is suitable for all horizontal holes smaller than the hole covering part, based on cooperation of the fixing part and the hole covering part relative to the horizontal holes, stable installation of the safety protection device is achieved, a protective barrier does not need to be erected around the holes, and therefore occupation of the space around the holes is avoided. Therefore, the safety protection device is easy to build, high in stability, wide in applicable horizontal hole size range and capable of being repeatedly used, and compared with a traditional protection mode, the building cost of building the hole protection device is greatly reduced.
