The invention relates to the technical field of building construction equipment, in particular to an aerial work platform which comprises a hanging basket body, a hanging rope, a driving mechanism and an adjusting mechanism used for temporarily storing and releasing the hanging rope. The winding unit comprises a lower fixing frame fixedly connected with the hanging basket body, a winding roller arranged on the lower fixing frame and a driving part for driving the winding roller to move relative to the hanging rope, the contact unit comprises an upper fixing frame connected with the lower fixing frame and a triggering assembly arranged on the upper fixing frame, and the triggering assembly is electrically connected with the driving part. The lifting rope extrudes the triggering assembly to enable the driving piece to drive the winding roller to move so as to release or store the lifting rope. The adjusting mechanism is arranged to dynamically adjust the hanging basket body in real time in the climbing process, so that the hanging basket body is always in a horizontal state, the discomfort and fear of constructors are reduced, and the construction safety is improved.
