The invention discloses a method for preparing large-size foamed ceramic from solid waste, and belongs to the technical field of new building materials. The method comprises the following steps: adding water into a mixed material of metal tailings, urban construction waste, river sludge, bentonite and a foaming optimizer, and carrying out wet ball milling to obtain slurry; carrying out filter pressing, vacuum pugging and extrusion molding on the slurry to prepare a hollow honeycomb-shaped green body; drying the green body; and putting the mixture into refractory castable kiln furniture for high-temperature sintering to obtain the foamed ceramic. The preparation method is simple and has the advantages of low investment and low energy consumption; the industrial solid waste tailings are used as the main raw material, and the urban construction waste and the river sludge are used as auxiliary materials, so that the solid waste utilization rate can reach 90% or above.
