The longitudinal and transverse bidirectional energy dissipation and shock absorption device comprises an external threaded rod piece and an internal threaded rod piece, the external threaded rod piece and the internal threaded rod piece are each provided with a movable groove, a limiting circular ring, a friction plate, a cylindrical block, a spring, a shear steel body and a hoop, and the movable grooves and the limiting circular rings are integrally formed. Tangential energy generated by an earthquake is dissipated through reciprocating tangential plastic displacement of a shear yield damping structure formed by welding a shear steel body and a cylindrical block. The anchor rod can be prevented from being stretched and sheared when an earthquake occurs, and the anti-seismic property of the side slope is improved.
