The invention discloses an operation method of a warning device for building heritage protection equipment, the warning device comprises a mounting ring main body, a warning assembly and a clamping assembly, the warning assembly is fixed on the outer wall of the bottom end of the mounting ring main body, and the clamping assembly is fixed on the outer wall of the top end of the mounting ring main body; the warning assembly comprises a first annular sliding groove, a rotating block, a first sliding ring, a mounting groove, a contact, a warning lamp, a first rotating shaft, a first gear, a drop hammer, a second rotating shaft, a second gear and a connector, the rotating block is mounted on the outer wall of the bottom end of a mounting ring body, and the first sliding ring is fixedly welded to the outer wall of the top end of the rotating block. The warning device is adopted, when a building inclines, an alarm can be given in time, and therefore the warning effect is improved; and a clamping device is further adopted, the equipment can be installed on the ancient building, manual installation is not needed, and therefore the installation process is simplified, the installation duration is shortened, and the installation efficiency is improved.
