The invention provides a ceramic material and a preparation method and application thereof, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing slurry containing zirconite powder and titanium dioxide, and drying the slurry to obtain a matrix material; the matrix material and the zircon sand are mixed to obtain a mixture, the mass ratio of the matrix material in the mixture is 60%-80%, the mass ratio of the zircon sand in the mixture is 20%-40%, and the diameter of the zircon sand is larger than that of the zirconite powder; and sequentially preparing a green body and sintering the mixture to obtain the ceramic material. The ceramic material is compact, low in porosity, high in surface erosion resistance and excellent in thermal shock resistance.
