The hanging type hoist comprises a fixing frame, a supporting plate is installed at the top end of the fixing frame, an opening and closing gate is slidably sleeved with the supporting plate, a fixing groove is formed in the top end face of the supporting plate, and fixing worms are installed on the left side and the right side of the top end of the opening and closing gate in an embedded mode. Driving equipment is fixedly mounted at the top end of the supporting plate; and an adaptive structure is fixedly mounted at the bottom end of the inner wall of the fixed frame. By arranging the driving equipment and the adaptive structure and utilizing mutual cooperation of the driving equipment and the adaptive structure, firstly, a driving motor is started to drive a driving rod and a linkage rod to rotate, so that two driving teeth on the surfaces of the driving rod and the linkage rod are driven to rotate, and then the driving teeth are utilized to drive a fixed worm to move up and down and lift vertically; and when the gate is closed, the bottom end of the opening and closing gate can gradually move downwards until the bottom end of the opening and closing gate is attached to the adaptive connector in the fixed supporting plate in a sealed mode.
