The invention discloses a riverway desilting method which comprises the following steps: S1, pretreatment, S2, chemical treatment, S3, biological treatment and S4, aftertreatment, wherein a chemical reagent is used for chelating heavy metal bottom mud through an optimizer, so that secondary pollution of the bottom mud is effectively avoided; the compound microbial agent is capable of effectively degrading organic matters in river sludge by virtue of photosynthetic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and saccharomycetes through reasonably matching strains and enhancing a synergistic relationship among the strains, and is combined with chemical cleaning, so that the balance of microbial communities in a river water body is effectively improved; compared with an existing chemical and biological combined desilting mode, the problems of secondary pollution of heavy metal bottom mud and substandard tail water are effectively avoided.
