The invention discloses a cold-bonding large-dosage phosphogypsum-based high-strength lightweight aggregate and a preparation method and application thereof.The phosphogypsum-based lightweight aggregate is prepared from a large amount of phosphogypsum, slag, cement and rubber powder, and the water spraying amount, the inclination angle of granulation and the rotating speed in the preparation process are optimized and adjusted; the ardealite-based lightweight aggregate prepared by the method is uniform in particle size, the strength is improved to 10.3 MPa, the water absorption rate is reduced to 6.60%, and the ardealite-based lightweight aggregate has good stability in long-term water saturation and dry-wet cycle environments. In addition, when the prepared ardealite-based lightweight aggregate is applied to concrete, the concrete can have high mechanical properties, good shrinkage performance and thermal insulation performance, waste ardealite is recycled, the preparation cost of the lightweight aggregate and the concrete is reduced, the pollution to the environment is reduced, and the ardealite-based lightweight aggregate has wide application potential.
