The invention relates to a piloting device convenient for ship berthing and a piloting method thereof, the piloting device is mounted on two sides of a berthing position, and comprises an outer arc rail section, a straight rail section and an inner arc rail section; the outer arc rail section, the straight rail section and the inner arc rail section on the same side can be longitudinally spliced into an S-shaped piloting track; the outer arc rail section is arranged on the side wall of the head end of the parking position and can be unfolded towards the outer portions of the two sides to form a forward horn mouth. The straight rail section is arranged on the side wall of the middle end of the berthing position and can prevent a ship from directly impacting the side wall of the berthing position in the transverse direction and guide the ship to sail in the berthing position in the longitudinal direction.
