The invention relates to the field of breaking hammers, in particular to a linear reciprocating motion type high-frequency breaking hammer which comprises a shell, a vibration exciter, a cutter and a guide mechanism. The vibration exciter is arranged in the shell, and the direction of exciting force generated by the vibration exciter is parallel to the length direction of the shell; the cutter is mounted at one end of the vibration exciter and extends to the outside of the shell; the guide mechanism is arranged between the vibration exciter and the shell and used for guiding the vibration exciter to move in the length direction parallel to the shell. According to the invention, the vibration exciter can drive the cutter to do reciprocating motion during reciprocating motion, and the guide mechanism enables the vibration exciter to only move along the length direction of the shell during motion, namely the vibration exciter can only do linear reciprocating motion along the length direction of the shell, so that the cutter also does linear reciprocating motion. In this way, the exciting force generated by the vibration exciter completely acts on the tool, the exciting force cannot be wasted, and therefore the utilization rate of the exciting force is increased.
