The invention belongs to the technical field of electronic locks, and particularly relates to a clutch type electronic lock which comprises a lock shell, a spring bolt assembly and an electric drive mechanism. The spring bolt assembly comprises an outer spring bolt, an inner bolt core and a spring. One end of the outer spring bolt is provided with a guide inclined plane, and the other end of the outer spring bolt is provided with an elastic pad which can abut against the inner wall of the lock shell; an outer spring bolt guide rail is arranged on the outer spring bolt; the inner bolt core is in sliding connection with the outer spring bolt, a spring containing groove for containing the spring is formed in the inner bolt core, a baffle extends out of the side, facing the spring containing groove, of the outer spring bolt, one end of the spring abuts against the baffle, and the other end of the spring abuts against the spring containing groove. The electric driving mechanism comprises a driving motor and a reduction gear set, the driving motor is in transmission connection with the rack through the reduction gear set, and when the inner tongue core moves in place, the rack can be separated from the reduction gear set. The rotation time of the driving motor of the clutch type electronic lock does not need to be strictly controlled, the locking and unlocking effects can be controlled through simple forward and reverse rotation of the driving motor, and the control difficulty of the clutch type electronic lock is reduced.
