The invention discloses a reinforcing mesh carrying device for building construction, and relates to the technical field of building construction auxiliary devices. The device comprises four clamping mechanisms distributed on the peripheral side of a reinforcing mesh or a reinforcing mesh pile; a lifting rod is arranged at the top of any clamping mechanism; or a rope is connected between the two clamping mechanisms located on the same side, the two ends of the rope are connected to the two clamping mechanisms respectively, and the lifting hook mechanism is installed between the two ropes in a matched mode; the lifting hook mechanism comprises a base plate connected to a crane steel wire rope, and lifting hooks matched with the hooking ropes are arranged on the two sides of the base plate respectively. During use, the clamping mechanisms are arranged on the peripheral side of a reinforcing mesh or a reinforcing mesh pile, then the clamping mechanisms are controlled to lift and move through a crane or a lifting rod, so that carrying of the reinforcing mesh or the reinforcing mesh pile is controlled, and translation caused by shaking of the reinforcing mesh or the reinforcing mesh pile during carrying is avoided by adopting a peripheral side fixing mode.
