The invention discloses powder solid waste-based unfired foamed ceramsite and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of ceramsite production. The foamed ceramsite is prepared from the following materials in parts by mass: 70-90 parts of powder solid waste, 10-30 parts of a hydraulic cementing material, 0.5-1 part of a water reducing agent, 0.2-1 part of a foaming agent and the balance of water, and the water-cement ratio is 0.3-0.4. Foaming slurry prepared at normal temperature is extruded in an extrusion mode, then the extruded foaming slurry is cut by a high-frequency steel wire to form a ball blank, and finally the ball blank is put into a ball forming disc to prepare the ball. The problems of low porosity, high density, low strength and the like of the existing unfired ceramsite are fundamentally solved, the resource utilization of solid wastes is realized, and the method has the characteristics of simple process, low cost, energy conservation, low carbon, environmental protection and the like.
