The invention discloses desulfurized building gypsum-based self-leveling mortar which is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 70 parts of a cementing material, 30 parts of aggregate, 0.14 to 0.175 part of a powder polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent, 0.245 to 0.315 part of a protein retarder, 0.049 to 0.077 part of a polyether powder defoaming agent, 0.49 to 0.875 part of redispersible latex powder, 0.042 to 0.07 part of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose ether and 33 to 37 parts of water, the cementing material is composed of desulfurized building gypsum, Portland cement and sulphoaluminate cement, and based on the cementing material, the weight ratio of the desulfurized building gypsum to the Portland cement to the sulphoaluminate cement is (44-54): (4.9-7): (10.5-21); the aggregate is river sand. According to the invention, the later strength of the system is ensured by controlling the ratio of the desulfurized gypsum to the ordinary Portland cement, the later strength can reach more than 35 MPa, the upper limit of the strength of the existing desulfurized gypsum-based self-leveling mortar is greatly improved, meanwhile, the matrix drying shrinkage caused by doping of the Portland cement is compensated, and the volume stability of a mortar hardened body is ensured.
