The invention provides a construction method of a stadium awning steel structure, which comprises the following steps of: dividing a steel awning into a roof awning and a vertical awning, dividing the roof awning into n hoisting structure units and n middle folding units, and dividing the hoisting structure units into a balance area truss structure section, an inner ring truss structure section and an awning area truss structure section; after construction of the concrete main body structure is completed, the vertical face awning starts to be constructed, and meanwhile temporary supporting jig frames are installed on the outer side and the inner side of the grandstand structure in the field respectively; the balance area truss structure section, the awning area truss structure section and the inner ring truss structure section are installed by adopting an integral hoisting method, and the vertical face awning and the middle folding unit are installed by adopting a high-altitude bulk method; and the rod pieces between the middle folding unit and the hoisting structure unit are installed in an inlaying mode through lifting equipment, and construction is completed. The method has the advantages that construction is easy and convenient, the aloft work amount is remarkably reduced, the construction efficiency and the safety coefficient are improved, and the construction quality is guaranteed.
