The invention relates to an active engine hood hinge which comprises a hinge fixing base, a hinge rotating arm, a hinge jacking arm, a driving link and a hinge orientation assembly. Wherein the hinge rotating arm is connected with the hinge fixing base, the hinge jacking arm is hinged to the hinge rotating arm, one end of the orientation assembly is connected with the hinge jacking arm, the other end of the orientation assembly is connected with the driving link, and the driving link is hinged to the hinge jacking arm; the driving link drives the hinge jacking arm in the direction defined by the orientation assembly. Compared with the prior art, according to the active engine hood hinge, the driving link is additionally arranged between the active hinge jacking arm and the hinge rotating arm, the guide mechanism is additionally arranged on the hinge rotating arm, the guide groove is additionally formed in the hinge jacking arm, and the guide mechanism slides in the guide groove; and the active engine hood moves upwards and backwards according to a fixed track, so that the problem that the active engine hood always pricks downwards to interfere with peripheral parts or has a small gap in the bouncing process can be avoided.
