The invention discloses a calcium sulfate decoration panel and a preparation method thereof.The calcium sulfate decoration panel comprises a base and a surface layer covering the upper surface of the base, the base is composed of a high-strength composite material layer and a bonding layer which are alternately stacked, the bottom layer of the base is the high-strength composite material layer, and the top layer of the base is the bonding layer; a fiber mesh layer is arranged between any adjacent high-strength composite material layer and bonding layer, and the surface layer is a decorative veneer material or a high-strength composite material layer subjected to surface machining; the high-strength composite material layer is prepared from the following raw materials: high-strength gypsum powder, cement, silica fume, starch, quartz powder, reinforced fibers, water and a dispersing agent. Compared with a traditional decoration panel material, the inner structure of the substrate can be firmer and more stable through lamination processing forming, better surface layer processing capacity is achieved, the substrate material is high in plasticity, and the conditions of marketization design and batch production can be met through certain process organization optimization.
