The invention discloses an integral climbing steel platform formwork and a climbing method thereof.The integral climbing steel platform formwork comprises a climbing system, and the climbing system comprises a climbing steel column, a stress conversion device and a steel column translation mechanism; the climbing steel columns are parallel to a shear wall, are vertically distributed in an inner cylinder frame of the integral climbing steel platform formwork and are horizontally arranged on the inner cylinder frame in a sliding mode, and steel column supporting brackets are vertically arranged at the lower ends of the climbing steel columns. The steel column supporting bracket is used for being placed in a reserved hole in the lower portion of a shear wall or separated from the reserved hole in the lower portion of the shear wall. The stress conversion device climbs on the climbing steel column, is positioned in the inner cylinder frame and is arranged on the integral climbing steel platform formwork; and the steel column translation mechanism is arranged on the inner cylinder frame and is vertically connected to the climbing steel column. The problem that the climbing steel column cannot be lifted back due to the fact that the climbing steel column is supported on the concrete shear wall and collides with shear wall steel bars and a tower crane rotates can be mainly solved.
